VISION
A world where every human person can exercise their right to migration in a safe, orderly, and regular manner ensures the development of the migrant and the nations.

MISSION
To foster the unification of civil society organizations on migration for effective participation in migration management to ensure that migration is voluntary, safe, and done in dignity.

Civil Society Network on Migration and Development, Nigeria (CSOnetMADE) is a space for a diverse group of civil society actors including non-governmental organizations (NGOs), Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), Faith-Based Organizations (FBOs), etc., as well as migrants, diaspora, experts and academics who organize and advocate for and with migrants at grassroots. CSOnetMADE is a platform where civil society builds and strengthens the work of this people-centred, rights-based movement on migration and development.

The network is formed for the purpose of strengthening dialogue and collaboration among CSOs working on any aspect of migration and refugees in Nigeria.

CSOnetMADE provides a collective platform for Action. The great benefit expected is that CSOs focused on migration will be able to better achieve collective goals, amplify united voices, increase their visibility, better engage governments, stakeholders, and other actors through allied interventions and advocacy for the advantage of a critical mass namely; migrants, refugees, IDPs, and their families.

CONVENING ORGANIZATIONS

The Network is convened by two organizations namely: Centre for Women Studies and Intervention (CWSI) and Augustinians International (AI) represented by Augustinian Centre for Advocacy, Justice and Peace (ACAJP).

  • Centre for Women Studies and Intervention (CWSI) is a project of the Congregation of the Handmaids of the Holy Child Jesus (HHCJ) empowering women and the girlchild as well as educating them on their dignity and fundamental human rights.
  • Augustinians International represented by Augustinians Centre for Advocacy, Justice and Peace (Nigeria) is the NGO of an international religious group, Order of St. Augustine
